The National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health and The Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Education and Training Centre present: Keynote speaker: Professor Sir Albert Aynsley-Green, Children’s Commissioner for England (Invited) A one-day interactive conference looking at effective implementation of the NICE clinical guideline on Antenatal and Postnatal Mental Health (APMH). Maternity and Mental Health: making a difference Tuesday 2nd October 2007 London 9:15am Registration & Coffee 9.45am Welcome & Introductions 4:30pm Conference Close The Antenatal and Postnatal Mental Health (APMH) guideline needs to make a difference to the lives of women, their children and families. NICE guidance in mental health continues to strengthen the available evidence for clinicians, service users, managers and commissioners. The APMH guideline sets out the recommended methods for detection and clinical management and aims to help develop better systems for the delivery of services. This conference is for all health care professionals who are committed to ensuring that mental health needs are as well provided for as physical health needs. Who should attend: All senior directors, commissioners and managers; medical staff and clinicians in primary, community and acute settings; voluntary sector staff; practitioners who work with women in the antenatal and postnatal periods. Conference Fee: £250 per delegate including a copy of the full guideline. A limited number of places at 50% of this fee are available to retired RCPsych members.
