Introduction
KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is the world's most popular chicken restaurant chain with many
outlets across the U.K. The KFC franchised restaurants cater to the general public serving a
varied menu of value for money, fast food meals. KFC’s security objectives to Black Box were to
increase staff and customer safety, monitor staff and therefore prevent unauthorised activities
and to keep a check on people and movement, thus identifying undesirables on the premises.
So far we have satisfied the criteria securing over 20 KFC restaurants in the Northwest with
bespoke solutions to observation/security problems.

After carrying out a detailed survey and risk assessment of the
client’s premises Black Box provided a simple cost effective security
solution designed to protect the individual needs of each KFC
restaurant. Black Box has a wealth of experience in project
managing security installations in the leisure and retail sectors.
From the outset we controlled the installation of both security
systems and at the final commissioning of each project our
engineers rigorously checked the systems ensuring quality
workmanship and on-time completion.

CCTV systems were installed, integrated into remote monitoring.

were incorporated to monitor the cash register, dining areas,
entrance and car park. Monitored intruder alarm systems were also
