RESOLUTION 2008-043 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SECOND YEAR OF A CONTRACT WITH BALANCED ENVIRONMENTS, INC. FOR THE MOWING OF VILLAGE PROPERTY AND ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $56,000 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department budgeted $100,000 in account 0102047-520600 in the 2008/09 budget for contractual mowing and landscape of village properties; and WHEREAS, Balanced Environments, Inc. was awarded a two year bid in 2007 which included a +4% for 2008 and equates to $51,038; and WHEREAS, due to changes in areas, Balanced Environments, Inc. submitted a proposal for additional work at three locations at a cost of $3,648. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS: THAT Balanced Environments, Inc. contract is approved with a 4% cost increase for 2008; and THAT a Purchase Order shall be issued to Balanced Environments, Inc. in the amount of $56,000 for the 2008 mowing season, which will also include a contingency of $1,314 for unanticipated expenses and the Village Manager, is authorized to make payments.
