RESOLUTION 2008-153 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH A&R CEMENT, INC OF ROSELLE, IL, FOR THE 2008 SIDEWALK, CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000 WHEREAS, The President and Board of Trustees desire to maintain the Village’s infrastructure; WHEREAS, work to be completed with this contract includes sidewalk removal and replacement to remove trip hazards, to replace deteriorated curb and gutter; and WHEREAS, the 2008 Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Improvement Program Plan was publicly bid and opened on July 31, 2008 with A&R Cement, Inc, of Roselle, IL, Illinois, submitting the lowest qualified bid. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS: That the Village Manager is authorized to execute a contract and to make payments to A&R Cement, Inc, of Roselle, IL, Illinois for 2008 Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Improvement Program in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00.
