SANDHILLS PEACH HARVEST REPORT
July 20-26, 2009
Mid-summer peach varieties are being harvested. Persons interested in canning or freezing peaches should take advantage of this peak production period. If interested in any of these varieties you should call your favorite stand and make sure they have not sold out.
Peach varieties being harvested are: Sun Prince, Georgia Bell, Fayette, China Pearl (W), Contender and Ruston Red
There is also a wide variety of produce available including locally grown sweet corn, okra, green peppers, Irish potatoes, squash, green beans, cantaloupes, watermelons and cucumbers.
