SUNALYZER   A VERSATILE I-V TESTER
            Together with Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore
            (SERIS), IVT Solar has developed this versatile I-V tester for
            silicon wafer solar cells. The design of this I-V tester is based
            on the paper “SUNALYZER - a powerful and cost-effective solar
            cell I-V tester for the photovoltaic community” by Prof Armin
            Aberle, which was presented at the 25th IEEE Photovoltaic
            Specialists Conference. SUNALYZER is capable of measuring I-V
            characteristics of silicon wafer solar cells in the range of 0.1 to
            5 suns. Hence, it is possible to measure important solar cell
            properties such as efficiency, short-circuit current, open-circuit
            voltage, fill factor, series resistance and diode ideality factor as
            a function of the light intensity, which is very valuable
            information for the optimisation of solar cells.

CALIBRATED REFERENCE CELL
A calibrated reference cells is most commonly used to set
the intensity of a light source to a particular test condition
(e.g. one-sun) for I-V measurements.
It is made from 18.5cm by 18.5cm square mono crystalline
silicon solar cell (342mm2), and is calibrated in ISE CalLab
Fraunhofer Germany:
 Calibration wavelength of SR_EQE is from 300nm to
1200nm
 I-V curve & Isc are calibrated at Standard Test Condition
(STC), Spectral Mismatch correction is based on latest IEC
60904-3 Ed.2 (2008) standard
 Calibration report shows the test data for the
parameters: Isc, Voc, Impp, Vmpp, Pmpp, η and FF;
Calibration certificate is attached with Reference cell
A variety of glass windows & long pass filters are available
for customizing spectral response to resemble that of a
particular test material such as amorphous silicon, DSSC,
and organic PV.

PORTABLE I-V CURVE TRACER

 VS-6810 portable I-V Curve Tracer measures the I-V characteristics
 of Photovoltaic (PV) cells, PV module, and PV Array.

 It has a very wide Voltage range: 0V to 200V with a resolution
 1mV, and current ranges 0.1A to 10A with a resolution 0.01mA.
 Scanning from a minus voltage makes I-V curve cross over Y(I) axis
 at Zero Voltage. Isc is a real value.




VS-6810 is widely used for Solar Cell Module field I-V
measurement with power from 0 to 200W at manual operation
mode. User can take a reading directly from panel meter for Short
circuit Current Isc, Open circuit voltage Voc, Pmax, Vpm, Ipm.
It is also being used in our VS-6821 I-V Tester, and VS 6825
Sunalyzer for measuring full parameters of solar cell. It is
controlled by notebook computer through USB 2.0 port.

The VS-6853 SR_QE Tester is a monolithic and affordable solution for Photovoltaic device research in industry

Researchers usually want to know the performance of OSC before capsulation. That means that I-V Test
must be performed inside Glove Box. As shown below, a Ø100mm solar simulator is setup under glove

                                                               I-V TESTER & SR_QE TESTER USED IN R&D OF OPV/OSC

This is a highly integrated automation SR_IV Test system. It’s to achieve a high repeatability & accuracy of
test data. Usually there are four to six OPV devices on One substrate, It will take 10 to 20 minutes to test all
devices by manually, and Light will heat up device & change the temperature as well as the performance of
OPV device. Fully Automation system can reduce test time and improve measurement accuracy, and
minimize operation error.

     I-V Tester consists of 6” Solar
    simulator, & VS 6822 I-V Tester.

   performs a SR, EQE, and IQE testing.

VS-6821S I-V TESTER USED IN REC CELL FACTORY AS OFFLINE QC
              Cell manufactory is using this machine as offline QC to
              sample cells from production Line, and cross check all
              electric parameters.
              On Line I-V Tester is using BERGER Lichttechnik Flash
              solar simulator. As per correlation test result, VS-6821S is
              compatible with Germany machine.
