Report for Benson AGM 14th May 2009 – PCSO Sarah Talbot and NSO PC Paul
                                             Webber

                • Although the figures show an increase in overall crime, Criminal
Damage is down. This was nominated as one of your neighbourhood
priorities and it is felt by this decrease, however small, it is an
                    improvement.

                • Your three neighbourhood priorities, as identified by yourselves are…

            Criminal Damage

            Parking

Anti – Social use of vehicles

                • PCSO’s across South Oxfordshire have now received training in relation
to The Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005. This allows us
the opportunity to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for Dog Fouling, Litter,
and Graffiti and Fly – Posting this is something that has been
introduced by the local authority. We hope to receive the FPN’s by
                    the end of May/June.

                • SID (Speed Indication Device) – SID has been deployed along Brook
Street, Watlington Road, Oxford Road and Beggarbush Hill. With
thanks to Cllr Dave Rushton and Cllr Jon Fowler who have kindly
helped. Unfortunately results from SID have been not been positive,
70% of speeders are from Benson.

   • 5 youths are currently on ABC’s (Anti – Social Behaviour Contract)

   • 3 Vehicles have Section 59 Warnings.
