Today is Missions Emphasis Sunday
Today we will receive an offering to support missionaries locally and around the world. Read below about one of our Bayside-supported missionaries and rejoice in the good work they do on behalf of Jesus Christ and because of faithful financial supporters and people who pray for their labor. To make a contribution to missions above your usual tithes, write the amount on the “missions” line of the giving envelope.

Grow
We’d like to tell you about Ramon, one of our Bible School students. At age 14 he left the tiny village where his family lived because it was impossible to make a living there. He moved from city to city until he came to Nuevo Laredo. By this time he was an alcoholic and “involved in every low vice there is.” He married and wanted to change but didn’t know how to. One day the pastor of the church in his neighborhood came to his door. As she witnessed to him about Jesus, he realized that there was hope for him. He accepted the Lord as His Savior. Today his life is totally transformed and he is an enthusiastic student, preparing to become a pastor. Bruce and Bonita Thomas ask us to pray for these needs: The Lord’s protection for innocent people living in Nuevo Laredo from the daily drug cartel violence. Our kids, Dan and Danita Taylor, Anna, Abby and Gabriella as they study at language school in Lisbon, Portugal, preparing to go to Angola as missionaries. Our students who will soon be graduating and entering fulltime ministry. Our continued health, strength, and protection as we minister in Mexico.
