Roosevelt's Court Packing Plan
The biggest barrier to FDR during the New
Deal was the Supreme Court denying
Roosevelt's Court Packing Plan – Failed
attempt by Roosevelt to appoint one new
justice for each over 70.
Roosevelt did this to help his New Deal
legislation not get overturned.
This was seen as unconstitutional and even
hurt Roosevelt’s popularity.
