********** Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for CFSP, condemns the terrorist attacks in Casablanca Javier Solana, EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, reacted to the terrorist attacks perpetrated in Casablanca, Morocco: "I condemn the terrorist attacks that have hit Casablanca. I want to extend my condolences to the families of the victims and to the Moroccan authorities, in particular his Royal Highness King Mohammed VI, as well as to the authorities of the other countries affected by these attacks. These despicable acts come as another reminder that the fight against terrorism is a permanent priority that will require long-term efforts and active and close international co-operation, in which the Kingdom of Morocco is already engaged. The fight against terrorism is also one of the elements of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, and the European Union stands ready further to step up its co-operation with its Mediterranean partners in this field." ________________ FOR FURTHER DETAILS: Cristina Gallach - Spokesperson of the Secretary General, High Representative for CFSP 02 285 6467 / 8239 / 5150 / 5151 02 285 5694 internet: http://ue.eu.int/newsroom e-mail: presse.cabinet@consilium.eu.int
