DTCC Alumni Association Board of Directors (BOD)
Board Meeting Minutes

Present: C. Cullen Rooney, Theresa Schaedel, Dawn Geldof, Tuck Mulrooney, Dennis Harris,
and Sharon Mossman.
Call to order was at 1830.
Minutes: Minutes from October 6, 2008 stand approved.
Treasurer Report: Treasurer Report was emailed to the BOD, reviewed and approved. The
BOD discussed possible future uses for funds.
Alumni Board Scholarships: The scholarship applications were reviewed and the BOD chose
two applicants to receive scholarships. They will be notified by the College.
DTCC License Plate Auction: The Collegewide Alumni Association’s first fundraising
campaign--an online Delaware Tech specialty license plate auction--raised $10,100! The
money raised will go toward future Alumni Association projects, such as scholarships and
campus beautification. License plate numbers that did not sell during the auction are now
available for sale. Two digit plates are $100 and all other plates are $75.
Distinguished Alumni: The Distinguished Alumni Award is deferred until 2010.
Alumni Newsletter: The Board discussed the format of the newsletter & the development of an
E-Letter at some point in the future. The Board would like to continue with sending out a hard
copy for the present time & notify Alumni that in the future the Newsletter will be an E-Letter
available on the Alumni website. An article will be written about the DTCC license plate
fundraiser. March 15, 2009 is the target date for the Spring Newsletter.
Board Resignation: Don Roberts resigned for the BOD for personal reasons. The Board
thanked Don for his time & service.
Mardi Gras 2009: The Board suggested that Alumni from the past 5 years be offered an
opportunity to purchase Mardi Gras tickets at a discounted rate ($75.00/per person). Tuck will
present this to Mr. Miller for consideration. The BOD members contributed funds for a basket to
be auctioned off at the Mardi Gras.
Meeting was adjourned at 2000.
