SPRING CLEANING SHOWDOWN
Move-out Cleaning Checklist
(Try your best to meet check-out standards for the contest)
Kitchen:
Stove: includes surface, burners, oven, and hood
Counters: completely clean
Refrigerator: includes shelves, drawers, inside and outside
Cupboards: Outside and inside
Sink: wiped out
Floors: swept and washed (under fridge and stove as well)
Garbage & Recycling: taken out
Walls wiped down
Walls and doors should have all posters removed, and be free of any adhesive residue.
Living Area:
Floors: swept/ washed/ vacuumed
Windows: glass cleaned, sills cleaned
Furniture: straightened up, placed in the same position as move in day
Tables: Wiped down
Walls wiped down
Walls and doors should have all posters removed, and be free of any adhesive residue.
Bathroom(s):
Shower/ bath: thoroughly cleaned inside and out
Toilet: Top, back, sides, inside thoroughly cleaned
Cupboards/Drawers: Outside and inside cleaned out
Counter: completely clean
Mirror
Sink and tap: Cleaned out
Floor: swept and washed
Walls wiped down
Walls and doors should have all posters removed, and be free of any adhesive residue.
Bedrooms:
Furniture re-assembled and returned to move-in day placements
Wardrobe: Cleaned inside and out and on top (completely empty)
Desk: Completely wiped down (completely empty)
Bed: Dust frame, check under to make sure there is nothing underneath
Floor: swept/ washed/ vacuumed (includes under furniture)
Window: glass cleaned, sills cleaned
Walls wiped down
Walls and doors should have all posters removed, and be free of any adhesive residue.
Halls:
Walls wiped down
Floor: swept/ washed/ vacuumed
Closets (storage and broom): Cleared Out with only provided cleaning supplies remaining
Assign tasks and put the name of the person who is responsible for the specific task in the left margin of the
page beside the check box to help organize your suites cleaning schedule.
Please note, that students may be held responsible for damages in their suite that have not be reported
through check-in sheets or the reswork@wlu.ca e-mail account.
