     GRADE POINT AVERAGE
A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
in the science prerequisite courses
      Assessment Test
 There is the possibility that in
the near future the Chancellor’s
 Office is going to mandate that
 all incoming Nursing Students
in the state of California take an
 assessment test prior to entry.
This is to better ensure success
in the program. Details to follow
       as they are available.
LVN STEP-UP PROGRAM
      Additional Prerequisites
•Valid California LVN License
•Nursing 110
•Note: If you did not graduate from an
accredited LVN program and desire the
degree….See me for information regarding
credit by exam

 Two (2) Application Periods
  September 1st-November 1st
  February 1st – April 1st
    APPLICATION PROCESS
       Complete Application Packet
•Application
•Proof of high school graduation or higher
•Transcripts from all colleges (except Palomar)
•Completion of all prerequisites or a work-in
progress form.
 SELECTION PROCESS
All eligible applicants are placed in
2 groups: A and B

A = all prerequisites are done.
B = prerequisite(s) is in progress
     WAITING LISTS

Beginning Level : 4-5 semesters
LVN/RN Step-Up: 3-4 semesters
