DETAILED GENERAL POWER OF ATTORNEY (INDIA)
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, I, ___________________, son of ________________, resident of _________________________, SEND GREETINGS: WHEREAS I own various properties, moveable and immovable, in India, described in Schedule I hereto attached, and I have interest in various firms, companies, association of persons, trusts, societies as partner, proprietor, shareholder, member, trustee, beneficiary, etc. and/or otherwise, described in Schedule II hereto attached. AND WHEREAS I will be away from _______________ for a long time and am personally unable to attend to my day-to-day affairs and for reasons of convenience, I wish to appoint fit and proper persons to attend to the said affairs in my absence. NOW KNOW YE AND THESE PRESENTS WITNESS that I, ____________________________, do hereby appoint, nominate, and constitute Shri ________________________, son of _____________________, resident of ________________________ to be my true and lawful attorney (hereinafter referred to as “the Attorney”) in my name and on my behalf, and/or my said attorney in any of my said capacities and in the name and on behalf of any partnership firm, association of persons, trustee beneficiary or businesses in which I am now or may in future in any manner become interested, to do and execute any or all of the following acts, deeds, and things, that is to say: 1. 1.1 Commercial To commence, transact, manage, carry on, or close any of my business affairs and to do all things necessary or connected therewith, including correspondence with any person or authority. To buy, receive, store, and hold, and to sell, pledge, hypothecate, give on hire, or otherwise deal with any goods, articles, things or moveable property. To open, establish, conduct, shift, or close any branch of any of my businesses at any place or places. To enter into, sign, execute, alter, terminate, suspend, and repudiate any contracts with respect to my business. To act as a partner in the firm or firms in which I am currently or will become a partner, and to commence, carry on, close, dissolve, or retire from any business partnership with any person and for the said purpose to do and execute all acts, deeds, and things as partner or partners therein, including banking transactions, execution of partnership, retirement, dissolution, or other deeds and documents. Property To purchase, lease, take charge, mortgage, or acquire in any manner and to sell, mortgage, settle, charge, lease, grant tenancy, or otherwise transfer or in any manner and on any terms deal with any property, moveable or immovable, or any interest therein. To apply for and obtain no objection certificate from any applicable body or bodies in respect of agreement of purchase or sale of a property and to do all acts, deeds, and things necessary for obtaining such certificates in connection with the property. To execute transfer instruments, conveyance, or other deeds in respect of property purchased or sold, and to transfer any mortgage now made or hereafter to be made in my favour either alone or jointly with others for such consideration as the Attorney deems fit. To hold, defend possession, manage, and maintain properties, moveable and immovable, described in Schedule I hereto attached and other properties acquired by me hereafter.

To sell the flat, shop, land, garage, parking space, office premises, or property/properties purchased by me in my name or jointly with others, to such person(s) on such terms and conditions as the Attorney deems fit, and/or to relinquish my right, title, and interest in the property, and to collect/receive sale proceeds/realisation amounts thereof, and to grant receipt for the same, and to execute, sign, and register the transfer deeds, present for registration, and to admit execution thereof. To let properties on rent belonging to me and to demand, recover, and receive rents, profits, licence fees, maintenance charges, electricity charges, corporation taxes, and all other moneys receivable with respect to my properties and to make all just and reasonable allowance therein in respect of rates, issuing proper receipts, maintaining the properties and effecting all necessary repairs, paying all taxes legally payable, and otherwise, whether by action, distress or otherwise to recover any property or sums of money in arrears.
