  Dear Friends:

  In our last issue I addressed some of the
  changes happening with the airlines and
  how they are re-evaluating their relation-
  ships with travel agencies/travel manage-
  ment companies versus their former push
  towards the internet. We received so much
  response from that column and so many
  questions about how hotels are being
  affected, that I am going to bring you up to
  date on that part of the industry as well.

  In fact this subject has become a “hot
  topic” in the travel trades as well as the
  consumer press. The excellent Jane Engle,
  Travel Insider Columnist for the Sunday LA
