Knowledge- Fellowship- Service October! Look what we did in October! Notes from the Board: The board approved offering Fort Mill High School partial payment of dues to get them off the ground. This year Fort Mill schools have raised their student fees and families are hurting to pay all these extra cost. Toys were delivered to Piedmont Children’s Floor for the Kool Kids toy chest on Sunday, Oct 24. We must really work on our next toy run in May. We are going to request December 4 or 18 for our Salvation Army Kettle Drive. Discussions were held on: Fatz Pancake fund raiser on November 20, fruit cake sales, November 11 flag display, November 11 Northwestern Installation and Induction, and November 26 birthday for Chris Hartness at Meadowlark. It is that time of year and CVS, Piggly Wiggly, The Varsity, Lancaster and Pageland Jon Love gave his famous speech at Leila Long inducted new member and Mom and Pop Stores, and possibly Save-A-Lot are waiting for their cake to be delivered. Cake will Indian Land High on October 7th installed officers at Rock Hill High on October 13th be delivered to Rock Hill the week of November 1st. When approaching a manager for placement of cake in the store, please emphasize that this is a guaranteed sale and at the end of the season we will pick up any unsold cake and they do not have to pay for it. CVS payments will be through DSD’s and we are paid from Civitan International or the SC District. All other sales are cash sales at $3.00 a pound. Stock stores well to begin with and then check them after Thanksgiving and again two weeks before Christmas. CVS will only take one case of one pound at a time. Candy Box Report: Wanda Simpson: collected $100. Sent $80 to International and added $20 to our account. Rock Hill Civitan Club presented RHHS a new banner to replace their 38 year old banner Civitan Soccer schedule: Kickers: 5-6 year olds will always meet Cherry Park Field #1. November 6: 9 AM field 1c November 13: 9 AM Field #2 Parents Day and awards. under Civitan under 8 Players: field #3 at Manchester Meadows November 1 is a rain make up day November 2: 6:30 PM field #3B and awards. November 4 is a rain make up day. Choose a day and try to go and introduce yourself to the parents. Make plans to attend on awards games. Remember when you sell tickets for the pancake breakfast and all the trimming for $7 we get to keep $4.00. How many tickets have you sold at work, in your neighborhood, to your friends, or at church? We need a head count to give to the Manager the Frank and Misty Konow October 24th was delivery week before so that he knows how much to order. All tickets must be before November 20th. On inducted new members and Installed date for toys to the Kool Kids that date we will need all hands on deck to serve.
