									ME DEP ELECTRONIC DATA DELIVERABLE (EDD) TEMPLATES FOR IMPORT INTO EGAD

Template Version 4.00_ 06/27/2005

This workbook is for electronic data submissions to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection for import into
the DEP's Environmental and Groundwater Analysis Database (EGAD). The LAB_ FIELD_EDD worksheet
contains the ME DEP Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) template for all chemical and field data.
The WATERLEVEL_FLOW_EDD worksheet contains the template for flow, static depth and water level elevation measurements.
The fields that are required to be populated by the EDD have column headings in light blue, fields that are required to be populated
if applicable (see the Data_Element_Dictionary) have column headings in yellow,and fields that are not required to be

populated have no background color in the headings. Fields that are not required should be populated when the data is
available. The second line of this worksheet contains field size and type and the third line contains the EDD column
number. The DATA_ELEMENT_DICTIONARY tab gives pertinent information on each field
such as data definitions, field size and type, and associated reference/valid values or tables that must be used if
applicable. All subsequent worksheets are the reference tables which contain the reference/valid values for fields.

The electronic data submitted to the ME DEP should meet the data requirements (QA/QC data included or the
level of data validation) set forth in the rules or the project QAPP. Data from multiple dilution analyses should be
combined into a single record. Data from original analyses and subsequent dilutions should be combined so that the
lowest possible detection limit is reported for those parameters not requiring a dilution and only those parameters
requiring dilution are reported in place of the original results.

After the data has been entered into the ME DEP EDD template it should be exported as an EXCEL worksheet
or as a tab delimited text file.
Please identify each submission by site name and sampling date.
