							                        POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

   1. Presentations will be 5 to 10 minutes long and as many slides as required.

   2. The purpose of the presentation will be to present a topic suitable for elementary
      grade students, any subject (health, science, math, history, English, social studies,
      etc.) Alternatively, you can choose a topic to demonstrate how to do something in
      PowerPoint or how to do something with web page design.

   3. Follow the guidelines learned in class for preparing slides. The checklist used for
      grading is provided below.

   4. There is no need to email your presentation to the instructor in advance. Instead,
      email it to yourself (for a backup copy) and bring it on your flash drive to class on
      the date of presentations. We will open them in class and save them to the class
      network drive (G drive) to make the presentations easy to open for each presenter.


                                   Grading Rubric
1. Include a title slide (with name), Overview slide & Closing slide        10 pts

2. Ensure presentation contains no spelling/grammatical errors              10 pts

3. Use attractive colors, appropriate graphics, and proper font sizes       10 pts

4. Use capitalization for main words in title & first word in bullets.      10 pts

5. Eliminate excessive “white space”; Maintain a good balance               10 pts

6. Use 6X6 rule for bullets (less “wordiness”; more graphics instead) 10 pts

7. Ensure bullets are grammatically parallel                                10 pts

8. Use appropriate effects, a slide transition & at least one animation 10 pts

9. Present with clear, audible voice, good eye contact and posture          10 pts

10.Ensure great CONTENT! (Have something important to say)                  10 pts
