Eric Meyer
President & CEO

Eric Meyer is the CEO & President of Shariah Funds Inc. and is also the Senior
Managing Partner of Meyer Capital Partners. Mr. Meyer is also a Managing Partner
of Meyer Duffy Ventures LP; a fully invested early stage venture capital fund.
Venture investments included, Micromuse (Nasdaq MUSE),
Predictive Systems (Nasdaq PRDS), and Riversoft Plc (LSE RSFT). Meyer Duffy
portfolio companies' co-investors have included, Cisco, Dell, Intel, and Hewlett
Packard. From 1995-2000, Mr. Meyer was a Managing Partner, MD
Strategic L.P., a partnership investing in public securities whose annual return
was in excess of 33%. Prior to Meyer Capital and Meyer Duffy, Mr.
Meyer was Senior Vice President and Director of Research for Oak Hall
Capital Advisors, and was instrumental in the formation and management of its
mutual fund Oak Hall Capital that returned 42% in 1992, ranked second best in
the Capital Appreciation Annual Performance Review, by USA Today.
Mr. Meyer presently sits on the board of a number of public and private
technology companies.

Dauvin J. Peterson

Dauvin Peterson is a Vice President for Shariah Funds Inc. and Meyer Capital
Partners. Previously, Mr. Peterson was based in the Hong Kong office for
Deutsche Bank Capital Partners. At DB Capital Partners, Dauvin was involved in
the evaluation of investment opportunities and structuring of private equity
transactions in the region. Mr. Peterson has been published in the
Journal of Applied Economics for his empirical studies of the stock markets in
Mainland China and Hong Kong, entitled "Relative Development in Stock Markets:
Empirical Evidence from Mainland China and Hong Kong". Mr. Peterson speaks
Mandarin Chinese and has a B.A. from Middlebury College.

Sh. Yusuf Talal DeLorenzo
Shaykh Yusuf is known internationally for his leading role in the expanding
field of Islamic Finance. Following preparatory school in New England and the
Ivy League, Shaykh Yusuf traveled to Pakistan to study Shariah law under the
Grand Mufti of Pakistan for eight years.
Shaykh Yusuf has taught university-level courses on Islamic law in Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, and the United States; and developed the popular internet-based
course on the Principles of Islamic Investing for the Dow Jones University.
He also served as an Advisor to the Government of Pakistan and was
Secretary/Member of the Fiqh Council of North America. Perhaps best known for
his Compendium of Legal Opinions on the Operations of Islamic Banks, Shaykh
Yusuf is the author of several important works on Islamic law and finance.
Shaykh Yusuf is an independent director of the Brown Brothers Harriman Islamic
Global Equity Fund and Yasaar Ltd., London, and serves on many public and
private Shariah Boards, including: Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes, Azzad/Dow
Jones Ethical Fund, Azzad Islamic Growth Fund,, Oasis Crescent Funds,
Wafra, the Guidance Financial Group, the Samad American Bank, the SAMI Fund, and

Dr. Mohamed Ali Elgari
Dr. Elgari, Director of the Center for Research in Islamic Economics, is a well-
established Islamic economist, having published and worked with many of
the premier institutions and journals in the field. Dr. Elgari is a Shariah
Advisor to HSBC Amanah Finance, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Bahrain Islamic
Bank, Dow Jones Islamic Index, Saudi American Bank, National Commercial
Bank, Wafra, Azzad/Dow Jones Ethical Fund, the Guidance Financial Group, the
Saudi Fransi Bank, and others.

Dr. Elgari is Professor of Islamic Banking at the Bahrain Institute of
Banking and Finance and also an Associate Professor of Islamic Economics at
King Abdulaziz University (Jeddah). Dr. Elgari is a member of the Academic
Committee of the Islamic Development Bank (Jeddah) and is also a member of
the Islamic Fiqh Academy.

Dr. Elgari has authored several papers and books on Islamic Finance and is
Editor of the Review of Islamic Economics (International Association of
Islamic Economics, London). Dr. Elgari received his PhD in Economics from
the University of California.

Sh. Nizam Yaquby
Shaykh Yaquby is one of the leading experts in the field of modern Islamic
finance, with a long list of original research contributions to the field.
Sh. Yaquby is a member of the Islamic supervisory boards for several Islamic
financial institutions, including Citi Islamic Investment Bank, Abu Dhabi
Islamic Bank, HSBC Amanah Finance, Azzad/Dow Jones Ethical Fund, Wafra,
Guidance Financial Group and others.

Since 1976, he has been a professor of tafsir, hadith and fiqh in Bahrain.
He is also the author of several articles and publications on Islamic finance
and other sciences in English and Arabic, including Tahqiqul-A'mal fi Ikhraj
Zakatil-Fitr bil-Mal, Risalah fit-Tawbah, Qurratul-'Aynayn fi
Fada'il Birr al-Walidayn, and Irshad al-'Uqala' ila Hukm al-Qira'ah min al-
Mushaf fis-Salah.
Shaykh Yaquby received a M.Sc. in Finance from McGill University and was
educated in the classical Shariah sciences in his native Bahrain and in

Michael McMillen is a partner with King & Spalding. His practice focuses
principally on domestic and international project finance, leasing, and banking.
He has advised clients on major project financing and leasing transactions in

the University of Wisconsin (B.B.A., 1972, with distinction), the Albert
Einstein College of Medicine (M.D., 1983, with honors), and the University of
Wisconsin Law School (J.D., 1976, with highest honors), where he was a member of
the Order of the Coif and Executive Editor: Research & Writing of the Wisconsin
