Introductions: The meeting commenced at 7:00 p.m. with introductions.
Minutes approved: The May 3rd, 2006 Council meeting minutes were approved with
no corrections. Jan Miller moved to adopt the minutes and Ron Garst seconded the
motion. The minutes were adopted by consensus.
Public Announcements: There were no public announcements.

Tom Wolf recognition: Tom Wolf was presented with a book and REI gift card in honor
of the nine years devoted to the Council representing fisheries. He is actively seeking his
Michael McMahan presentation: Michael presented the St. Louis Declaration of
Invasive Plant Species. In particular he described the categories of exotics, weeds,
noxious, invasive and native plants using several well-known examples. He also
described six guiding principles adopted by the nursery industry and being fostered by
other professions associated with landscape design and construction.
Coordinator Reports: April provided comments about several events including Building
Council Capacity and the July 5th Council meeting at Stub Stewart State Park.
Council Member updates: Kyle Spinks noted that 2500 square feet of invasive plants
were removed at Moonshadow Park. Several other members commented on various civic
events occurring in June.
Water Feasibility Study Update: Tom VanderPlaat presented an update on the Tualatin
Basin Water Supply Project. In particular he focused on the hydrology overview as it
relates to the three alternatives being considered. For more information, see:
