The JEM Choral Festival is a wonderful day of music-making for 5th and 6th grade students with
unchanged voices! Following director nominations through RNS, the accepted singers will
gather together to rehearse and perform the two-part songs listed above. We will also have a
reading session for directors (sponsored by JW Pepper). Rehearsals begin at 12:00, and the day
ends with a concert at 6:00 pm.

We know that budgets are really tight; here are ways that this day can be cost effective for you
 and your school:

    1) $10 fee per accepted student (plus IMEA participating schools fee)
    2) Repeating some pieces from previous festivals you may already have some of them in
       your library!
    3) Groups are encouraged to take sack suppers for the break before the concert; we will eat
       together in our rehearsal space.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or e-mail Juliane or Jennifer. We
look forward to your nominations for the 2011 JEM Choral Festival!
