In this lecture, we start with an explanation on typical linear groups GL(n,R), GL(n,C), GL(n,H), O(n), U(n), Sp(n), which gives us a nice prospect of 代数学特論第一 Algebra Ⅰ 2 general theory of topological groups. The audience would recognize it delicate to establish for topological groups even fundamental facts such as the homomorphism theorem. As necessary, we recall elementary facts on linear algebra, group theory and general topology. We will choose topics according to the audience’s request from the following subjects: (1) coalgebras and Hopf algebras, (2) linear 代数学特論第二 Algebra Ⅱ 2 representations of topological groups, (3) homology groups and the fundamental groups of linear groups, (4) Lie algebras. Algebraic geometry was developed first as intuitive knowledge by Italian school, and later in 20th century , after the efforts by many mathematicians (Chevalley, Zariski, et al.), Weil had constructed strictly the algebraic geometry from the view point of field theory to solve the 代数学特論第三 Algebra Ⅲ 2 Riemann-Weil conjecture in one dimensional case. The basic parts of the lectures are following the famous book by Milnor, while we add more modern and geometric points of view, e.g., from symplectic and contact geometry. Several properties of self-adjoint operators in spectral analysis will be introduced. First we present preliminary results of submanifold theory in differential geometric point of view.
