The Sagamore Offers Groups an Amazing Setting, Luxurious
Accommodations and the Most Comprehensive Meetings
                 Facilities in Upstate New York

Located in the peaceful Adirondack Mountains just one hour from Albany, The Sagamore offers
an array of seasonal outdoor activities and luxurious accommodations complemented by a fully
functional meeting facility. Situated on a private 70-acre island on Lake George, the resort features a
tranquil environment tucked away from the pressures of the business world. Here, groups can clear
their minds, savor the recreational benefits of the great outdoors, and settle down to business.

Meeting Rooms

Sixteen meeting rooms provide 31,000 square-feet of meeting space in three different
locations: The Conference Center, a dedicated meeting facility, boasts a 10,080 square-foot ballroom
with banquet seating for 800, as well as three 960 square-foot breakout rooms which can
accommodate up to 70 each, classroom style. The Hermitage, a former carriage house that has been
converted into a lakeside executive retreat, offers two boardrooms and 10 bi-leveled deluxe lofted
bedroom suites, perfect for exclusive gatherings. Within the Historic Hotel there are three meeting
rooms, including: one 2,520 square-foot ballroom called Dollar Island that can be divided; one 720
square-foot room and a 650-square-foot dedicated Executive Board Room which can double as a
hospitality room for a group.
In addition to the above, Shelving Rock Terrace and The Event Center provide for additional
space. Shelving Rock Terrace, an elegant canopied venue, offers an exceptional setting overlooking
beautiful Lake George. It’s available during three seasons for special events and accommodates
banquets for up to 175 people.

Just recently opened in 2009, the 11,664 square-foot Event Center is the largest facility of its kind at a
resort in The Adirondack State Park. The Event Center is a fully functional exhibit hall that can
accommodate 100 10x10 exhibit booths. In addition, the room is large enough to exhibit automobiles
and heavy equipment. The building has an easy access for bringing in vehicles for display.
The Sagamore also features over 20,000 square feet of versatile outdoor space including the
Lower Veranda Terrace, the Pool Deck West, the newly renovated Dollar Terrace and the Front Lawn –
all perfect for various size cocktail receptions and all featuring stunning views of Lake George. Another
terrific outdoor for groups is Mountain View Lawn, which is near the Conference Center for easy
access.
The Sagamore's professionally trained conference services managers oversee every aspect of
meetings from beginning to end. In-house banquet facilities provide for a wide range of special dining
options, such as catered events on one of many outdoor lakeside terraces or on the resort's own 85-
foot replica of a turn of the century motoring vessel, The Morgan. The Morgan offers daily sightseeing
cruises during its three seasons of operation and can be used for private group dinner cruises on historic
Lake George. In addition, The Sagamore has an in-house audiovisual company available to service
meeting participants throughout their stay.

Accommodations

Luxury accommodations are available in two locations at The Sagamore. Inside the Historic
Main Hotel, the addition of 37 new rooms in 2009 has expanded the capacity of this popular option,
bringing the total number of rooms to 137. The new guest rooms are conveniently located and most
have spectacular views of the lake – some of the best on property. All of the rooms in the Main Hotel
are traditional in décor, featuring opulent bedding, marble baths, flat panel HD televisions and more.
The Lodges offer Adirondack-style design which compliments the entire resort. The
accommodations available in The Lodges are deluxe guest rooms or suites with breathtaking views of
Lake George, terraces and working fireplaces.

Activities

Perhaps the most exciting addition to the property is the, outdoor pool area, which provides stunning
views of Lake George and the mountains. The outdoor pool area, added in 2009, is 10,000 square feet
featuring a 95,000 gallon swimming pool and a large warming pool for adults. The pool is surrounded
by 150 chaise lounge chairs.
A host of year-round recreational amenities are available at The Sagamore to round out the
meeting experience. Participants can relax after a long day with a massage in the Sagamore Spa, or
enjoy a facial, loofah treatment or an aerobic workout. In addition, the Fitness Center offers state-of-
the-art fitness and cardiovascular equipment, complimentary exercise classes, whirlpools, saunas, and
hot and cold plunge pools. The resort also provides outdoor tennis with group and individual lessons
available.
Whatever the season, The Sagamore's Adirondack location gives visitors a diverse selection of
recreational options. Warm weather activities at The Sagamore are bountiful, including an 18-hole
1928 Donald Ross designed golf course, recently heralded by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine as one of
the Top Resort Golf Courses in the Country, outdoor tennis, swimming, fishing, boating, windsurfing,
parasailing, basketball, volleyball, and jogging trails that have been carved out of the natural terrain.
Meeting attendees who want to bring their families along will find plenty of daytime activities for
spouses and children.
These include culinary demonstrations, movies and popcorn, shopping excursions, and our
newest addition to The Sagamore offerings; The Rec. The Rec is located in The Event Center and will be
available to guests from late June through Labor Day Weekend. Adirondack Scene, a world renowned
set design company for Broadway and Universal Studios, has developed this interactive recreation
center complete with an indoor 18 hole miniature golf course, half court basketball, official wiffleball
field with working scoreboard, Wii stations and a children’s play area. The Rec will be available for all
guests but can be booked privately for a group function.

Dining

The Sagamore is proud to have Executive Chef Adam Savage on board for his second year.
Previously, Savage served as executive chef at the AAA Four Diamond Awarded Delray Beach Marriott.
Savage oversees the catering and cuisine of the hotel’s many dining venues.

Dining options at The Sagamore include our signature restaurant, La Bella Vita, which now
serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. La Bella Vita serves simple, yet artfully prepared Italian
inspired dishes, using wonderfully fresh garden-grown ingredients.
Rounding out the options are The Club Grill, a New York-style steakhouse located at the golf
course; Mister Brown's Pub, an Adirondack-inspired eatery serving pub-style fare and featuring evening
entertainment; Caldwell’s Lobby Bar, serving morning coffee, as well as light fare throughout the day
and evening; The Veranda Terraces, offering beverages and light fare throughout the day; and The
Lakehouse, located near the pool and the waterfront, offering drinks, light fare and ice cream daily.
New for 2011, The Pavilion, located on the docks of the resort, has been renovated to extend
its availability into three seasons, as opposed to just being open July and August. The popular restaurant
now has a new look complete with new decking, woodwork, an open kitchen, new furniture, and best
of all a retracting canopy and sides that will serve to extend dining beyond the summer months.
Another great feature that was added for guests is a scenic roof top bar overlooking the lake. The menu
will feature New England favorites such as live Maine lobster and our famous lobster roll.
