0. Introduction
0.1. Purpose This document is the more detailed description of the messages as defined in the TAF TSI. It shows also the various elements for the composition of the messages. The document defines three types of elements: the native elements and the application oriented elements / complex elements. The native elements are showing the values and coding, the application oriented elements are related to these native elements. The complex elements are the composition of various application oriented elements. The names of the data elements may be changed during the
detailed planning and implementation of the metadata for the central repository. During this phase also the final structure of the elements and messages must be fixed.

TrainStartTime Content type: Length of Data / Type of Data Values / Unit Coding The length is 14 digits with the following structure: YYYYMMDDhhmmss (Y = Year, M = Month, D =Days, h = hours, m = minutes, s = seconds). In order to facilitate processing in certain applications, the following structure YYYY2DDDhhmmss enables the day to be identified according to its order number in the year. This variant is indicated by 2DDD. The Time zone are given as: 0 = West European time 1 = Central European time 2 = East European time 3 = Moscow time 4 = Ural time 5 = Pamir time 6 = Tibet time 7 = Baikal time 8 = China time 9 = Japan ( or Vladivostok) time The use of “summer” time e.g. of a civil time 60 minutes ahead of the mean civil time of the region concerned, corresponds to a difference of an additional time zone.
