Innovative solutions covering the full range of digital
         imaging

The range of options for processing and printing digital images
on paper today is as vast as photographic technology itself. At
this year‟s Photokina, Mitsubishi Electric is presenting under
the banner “Creating Photo Business” the new opportunities
this diversity creates for the photographic industry. Highlights
of their broad portfolio include professional digital photo
systems and printers. Their extensive product range and
decades of experience as a partner to the trade sector enable
Mitsubishi Electric to offer individual system solutions tailored
to meet specific digital instant printing requirements. The same
applies to the range of Mitsubishi Electric photo printers:
Whether it involves high-speed printing, high-resolution
printing or large formats – for the delivery of laboratory-quality
prints with high reliability, there‟s a „specialist‟ to suit every
need. The portfolio presented at Photokina 2008 ranges from
entry-level products for printing lower volumes straight through
to high-performance dye sublimation photo systems that use
no chemicals and therefore offer an environmentally sound
         alternative to traditional minilabs.

In Hall 10.2 at Stand A68-C69, trade fair visitors can
experience these photo systems and printers in action in four
different service areas. One of these areas features tailor-
made solutions for the Photo Service Point area. Here, the
company will be using self-service kiosk systems to present
profitable solutions for drugstores and other retailers. The
Photo Studio Pro area, on the other hand, will highlight
systems and printers for photography studios.

                                                                    Page 2

Mitsubishi Electric‟s ID-Service Point addresses photo dealers
who also offer their customers smaller production volume
services such as passport photos or job application photos.
And at the other end of the spectrum, the fourth area of the
stand – the Image Service Center – focuses on products that
handle large print production volumes according to the copy
         shop model.

Among other products, these four areas will also present the
Click Lite entry-level photo system, the Click 5000 photo
terminal that can be expanded to the Flexilab, the Kiosk 7000
self-service kiosk system and the Easyphoto POS desktop
terminal. These systems feature a wide range of image
processing options, including the ability to generate collages,
mosaics, calendars, greeting cards and frames, and they also
support the production of photo gifts such as the popular photo
books and cups. The printer range includes the corresponding
systems that deliver brilliant prints as well as top-quality
passport photos. These include the CP9600DW and
CP9600DW-S high-resolution dye sublimation printers, the
         CP9550DW and CP9550DW-S all-rounders, the durable
         CP9800DW and CP9800DW-S high-speed printers and the
CP3800DW model for rapid and borderless A4 prints.

Mitsubishi Electric also has a world premiere in store for
Photokina. The printer tower with the provisional designation
MPU (mass production unit) can produce more than 600 prints
per hour in 10 x 15 centimetre format without any chemicals.
With this exceptional performance level, it can be considered
as a further alternative to minilabs. The device includes
practical features that support very large production volumes,
such a stacking module for large-format prints and a sorter
         module.
