This resource will add to the teaching and learning experiences of young people aged
7-14 by introducing them to the work of the local council and services they provide. The aim of the
pack is to provide teachers and pupils with a resource which identifies issues/themes which are of                                                               WALES - NATIONAL GOVERNMENT
relevance to them on a daily basis.
                                                                                                                                                                 The Welsh Assembly Government is the devolved government
                                                                                                                                                                 for Wales led by the First Minister.
All issues/themes included in the resource can be adapted by teachers for their own use in planning
                                                                                                                                                                 Within Wales, the Assembly has power to develop and put into
educational activities encompassing a range of skills or common requirements and link to most
                                                                                                                                                                 practice policies in the following areas:
