Team CSC is proud to provide on-site transportation information systems and information
technology support to the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe
Center), located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Volpe Center is an internationally
recognized center of transportation and logistics expertise. The Volpe Center assists federal,
state, and local governments, industry, and academia in a number of areas, including human
factors research, system design, implementation, and assessment, global tracking, strategic
investment and resource allocation, environmental preservation, and organizational
effectiveness.

Working in partnership with the Volpe Center in meeting its goals and objectives, Team CSC
and its sub-contracting partners, provides an exciting work environment that includes a broad
mix of projects cutting across a wide range of technical disciplines and the traditional
transportation modes including air, rail, highway, water, and space. Team CSC supports the
Center in the successful implementation and on-going operation of several major programs for

SOFTWARE TESTER

CSC, in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center has an immediate
opportunity for a mid-level Software Tester with functionality using automated test tools to
design and develop test plans, traceability matrices, test cases and test scripts from requirements,
use-cases, design documents and other project documentation. Experience in using automated
test tools such as HP Mercury Test Director, Win Runner, Quick Test Pro or Team Foundation to
perform functional testing.

Essential Job Functions

Design and develop test plans, traceability matrices, test cases and test scripts from requirements,

      Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted
      Identify data requirements and create data
      Manually execute test scripts to validate functionality
      Report and track defects resulting from the test effort
      Participate in peer reviews for requirements and technical specifications

      Support concurrent projects in an organized manner
      Provide status and metrics reporting to management and project team members
      Proactively recommend and support process improvements


Basic Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
      Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
      Seven or more years of testing experience
      Experience working with computer systems and their uses
      Experience working with telecommunications systems and their principles
      Experience working with network management and protocol system testing
      Experience working with scripting languages such as TCL, PERL, HP, etc
      Experience working with data transmission protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.
      Experience working with operating systems
      Experience working with protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP,
       POP3, etc.
      Experience working with network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion
       detection systems, etc.

CSC, in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, located in Cambridge, MA has an
immediate requirement for mid-level C#/ASP.NET Design/Development Engineers. The qualified
candidates will be key contributors in creating an incident management and trending application for the
FAA to support the work of their Aviation Safety Engineers. The position will include the component
objects along with development of the user interface which will support the business rules for the handling
of a large variety of FAA Aviation Safety related data. This project presents a number of exciting technical
challenges including data mining, work flow and integrated document management. This will require
working closely with the database development staff to design and develop database objects to support
the application.

Essential Job Functions
    Conducts investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or
       investigate and resolve matters of significance.
    Reviews completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.
    Recommends corrections in complex technical applications and analysis to enhance
       performance.
    Provides the customer base with first level support.

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field
       preferred
    Six (6) or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming
