HOW TO HAVE AN AVON PARTY When I ask someone if they would like to earn FREE Avon...most say yes. Then I tell them that they can earn the free Avon when they have an Avon Party! They will need to invite 3 or more people (the more people at the party the better!!) over to their house on a set time and day (I will set a date with them that is good for both of us) and I'll do the rest. They earn 15% (or whatever you decide to give them) in FREE Avon Products of their choice. I also tell them that the only things that DO NOT count toward their party "total" are Avon Style, Licensed Products and Customer Order Builders (we as reps. only earn 20% on those products). To increase the total number of people at the party you may want to give her an incentive to over-invite. You could tell her that if she has over 6 guests (not including children...who more than likely can't buy) at the party she will get a FREE gift. You could give her a basket 3-5 trail size products or a full size product as the gift. The night of her party I would be their 30 minutes early to "set-up". I would bring my own card table....if you don't have one then just ask her if she has a coffee table or the top of a TV that you can use. You could also get a few cardboard boxes and cover them with some pretty cloth and use that. (Hint...if you use her table I would definitely cover it with something...you don't want to scratch it) You will need to bring the following to your party: --Lots of brochures. --Paper/ pens for them to write down what they like. --Door Prizes (if you want to have giveaways) I would order things out of the Brochure at really cheap prices or out of the Outlet for this. You can also order samples and trial size products for prizes. --I would also bring a basket of products that they can take with them that night. A "cash and carry" basket. Maybe you could price everything in the basket at a 10% discount from the brochure. They can pick through your basket that night and purchase anything in it on the spot. --You will also need to bring products to show. I would say maybe 1520 products should do it. You may want to bring as many "new" items as you can and also some of the really good sellers. I would also bring some of the more expensive items (Anew, Imari, Rare Rubies, etc...) You will more than likely sell what you show...so you don't want to just show $1 or $2 items. I would also play a game at the party. People love to play games. It's fun. Maybe you could play Bingo and show a few products between every game. You can also give away prizes for who ever wins the Bingo Games. I would only play 3 or 4 games at the most and I would use samples and trial sizes as my prizes. I would also give a coupon to everyone attending as a "Thank You for Attending". On it I would print the following: **************************** 30% OFF Get 30% off one additional item when you purchase $25 or more tonight only. Offer good only for tonight xx-xx-99. Expires at close of MaryBeth's (name of hostess) Party. 30% OFF ***************************** One more idea....you may want to tell everyone that you will have an Avon Raffle drawing. Sell Raffle tickets for $1 each or 7/$5. Winner will be drawn that night and they will be able to spend the amount collected in Avon. (Don't give them the money. This is only for them to spend that night in Avon and they have to spend it all on Avon. No money back. This is to increase your sales and not to pad their pocketbook.) A few more important things: --Tell the hostess (and the guests the night of the party) that you will deliver all the products to the hostess already bagged and ready to go. She will deliver them to her friends. --Have the guests pay for their order that night. You will not be delivering them to her and will need to have her money to pay for the products. --When you bag up the products add a current Avon book and a Thank You note. Call the customer in a week or so to follow-up on her order. Ask her how she likes the products she ordered and if there is anything she would like to sample. Also ask her if she would like to receive brochures on a regular basis. Tell her you are getting your order ready and ask if their is anything you can order for her. --Before you close the party ask if anyone else would like to have an Avon party and Earn FREE Products. Maybe you could tell them that for every booking you get from this party the hostess (MaryBeth or whoever) will receive a FREE gift or an Avon Credit of $5 or so to use at their party. ~~An idea to book parties from this party~~ Blow up about 10 balloons. Put a strip of paper in each one. 5 say "Book A Party, save 10% on tonight order"...5 say "Save 10% on tonight's order") Ask guests if they would like to pop a balloon. Tell them that everyone who pops a balloon will receive 10% or more off their order tonight and 1/2 of the balloons say book a party. After they pop a balloon ask them if they would like to try again with the following stipulations: If they popped a balloon that said book a party tell them if they try again and get a balloon that says the same thing they don't have to book a party BUT they lose their discount. If they get the same paper again their discount doubles to 20% and they get to book a party! If they popped a balloon that said save 10% and they try again and get a balloon that says book a party you will double the discount to 20% off that night. BUT if they get a balloon that says the same thing they get no discount. You would be surprised at how many will want to take their chances and pop a balloon. This is fun too!
