Society Act 1860 vide Maharashtra – 702/2004 (Nagpur) dated
31-01-2004 and under Bombay Public Trust Act vide F- 20750
(Nag) dated 31-03-2004 The Sanstha makes a modest attempt
to observe the ideology of a new system of education for the
youth to manifest the dream of modern India through value-based

Prof. M. C. Deo has been working as Professor in Civil Engineering Department in IIT Bombay.
He has also served as Head of Civil Engineering Department, IIT Bombay. Prof. Deo has
received various honors and awards for his service with distinction. He has received Prof. H
H Mathur Award for Excellence in Applied Research – 2010, IIT Bombay Best Research Paper
Award – 2006, Jalavigyan Puraskar, Indian Society for Hydraulics – 1998. He has received
Recognition for “Distinguished and meritorious service to ASCE as an outstanding Associate
Editor. He has been editor of International Journal of Ocean and Climate Systems,
Multi-Science, Uk. His research interests are Coastal and Ocean Engineering – application
of artificial intelligence techniques, statistical and stochastic methods to data analysis and
modeling; Climate change: modeling and assessment, Hydrology and Hydraulics – random data

CEO, Solar Semiconductor,
Hyderabad
Hari has been a Silicon Valley veteran for over twenty years in the semiconductor
technology industry. He worked in various engineering leadership positions in VlSI development
of Communications and Processor products at National Semiconductor Corporation, Amdahl
Corporation, TRW Defense Systems before he founded Chiplogic in 1997. Chiplogic was a
Network Processor company for the Customer Premises Equipment market. Products are
designed to carry multi-service traffic (voice, video and data) over the broadband pipe to the
premises. Chiplogic was acquired by Analog Devices, Inc at the beginning of 2001 and Hari
joined ADI as Senior Product line Director of the Network Media Platforms Product line. In
this role Hari grew the service provider focused business, addressing IP communications
and Triple play strategies including IP STB strategies. Hari holds an MSCS from Indian Institute
of Technology, Chennai and an MSCE from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX.
shri. P. a. Krishnan
Executive Vice President & Head, Emerging Markets,
MPhasiS (An HP Company)
P.A. krishnan has over 27 years of rich and varied experience in successfully managing
business P&l, strategy, sales, services, manufacturing and acquisitions. In this role, he is
responsible for spearheading MphasiS’ efforts in becoming the leading provider of IT based
business solutions in key emerging geographies - India, Sri lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong
kong, and the Middle East.
In his previous role at MphasiS, krishnan focused on continued growth in the Infrastructure
Technology Outsourcing and led sales for Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Singapore,
and India. krishnan has over six years of specialization in the Managed Infrastructure Services
and Outsourcing space. He has managed and successfully grown this business in his
previous stints. Prior to joining MphasiS, krishnan was with Siemens where he was Senior
Vice President, managing Global Infrastructure Operations and Internal Sales for the
Siemens Group. krishnan has worked with other leading companies like NCR, IBM, Onward
Technologies, HCl, and Nelco. krishnan is an Electrical Engineering Graduate from VJTI,
Mumbai with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Computer Management.

Dr. Milind Kulkarni
Director - Engineering Institutes,

Milind has done his B.E.(Civil) from Walchand College of
Engineering, Sangli (1985), M.E. (Civil) - Env. Engg. from VJTI,
Mumbai (1987) and PhD from IIT Bombay (1998). He has
consistently good academic record. He has received various
scholarships such as Middle School, High School, National Merit,
GATE and QIP throughout his academic career. He has more
than 22 years of rich academic experience in Engineering
Institutes. He has worked as lecturer, Assistant Professor,
Professor and Director. He has served as expert for National
Board for Accreditation of All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE) and on various committees of AICTE and
DTE. He has published eight papers in prestigious national and
international journals, twenty three papers in national and
international conferences and has given fourteen invited talks.
He has received Nawab Zain Yar Jung Bahadur award from
Institution of Engineers (India) for best paper in Environmental
Engineering. He has successfully executed number of research
and consultancy projects sponsored by AICTE, University of
Geogia (USA), Brihan-Mumbai Municipal Corporation etc. He
has visited prestigious institutes such as Desert Research
Institute, Nevada, University of California, Berkeley, World Bank, W
ashington DC, University of Washington, Seattle, IIT Delhi, Indian
Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Harvard School of Public Health,
Harvard University for presentation of his research work /
collaboration. His research interests are:- Personal exposure to
Air Pollution, Water and wastewater treatment and Climate change
mitigation.

Dr. J.b. helonde
Principal,

He was born in the year 1960 and presently working as Principal,
ITM College of Engineering, kamptee Nagpur. He did his graduation,
Post graduation and doctoral degree in engineering with a consistent
good academic record.
He started his career as a lecturer and Head of the Department
in Power Electronics Engineering in 1983 in B.D. College of engineering, Sewagram and

subsequently selected as an assistant professor in 1986. He was promoted as a
Professor in Electronic Engineering department in the year 1992 and also worked as H
ead of Department of Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electronics
& Telecommunication Engineering. From 2006 to 2008 he worked as a Professor &
Head of Electronics and Power Engineering Department and M.Tech Co-ordinator at
Yeshwantrao Chavhan College of Engineering , Nagpur.
He taught most of engineering subjects, practicals and guided projects in electronics and
power electronics engineering at U.G. & P.G. courses. He is fully involved in planning, setting,
expansion, upgradation and modernization of laboratories. He successfully worked to get
NBA to Electronic Engineering Department at B.D.C.O.E. Sewagram during 2004 &
Electronics & Power Engineering Department at Y.C.C.E. Nagpur during 2008. He played
key roll in bringing good academic standard in the department.
He worked as a Principal twice during 1992 to 1994 and 1999 to 2001 at B.D.C.O.
Sewagram. He was fully geared to implement the teaching programme effectively
and efficiently to ensure quality education in institution. He was instrumental
for academic and administrative growth of the B.D.C.O.E. Sewagram. He was also
elected as a Chairman, board of studies in Electronics Engineering & member of
Academic council of Nagpur University during 1995-2000 and 2003-2005 and contributed
for design, development and up gradation of various schemes and syllabus of
Electronics based courses of the University. He was a member of Research and
Recognition committee, selection committee of teachers, member of library committee,
higher learning and research committee & chairman of local enquiry committee of
R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur.
He has presented technical papers in India and Abroad. He worked as the reviewers of
technical papers and books. He is also involved in training and research activity.
One Ph.D. is awarded, TEN Ph.D. and Three M.E. (by research) students are working
under his guidance. He was a Member & Secretary on Academic Advisory Board
of Guru Nanak Group of Institutions, Nagpur.
He actively worked as a member, chairman and secretary on various college bodies.
He is also associated with Amravati and Pune University. He is honored by
“Vidya bhushan” and “Gaurav Patra” awards. He is well-known in the field of technical
education for his devotion and dedication in serving the engineering education fraternity
and society.

CAMPUS
The college is located in kamptee, Nagpur in a sprawling 15 acre campus with plenty of open space in a serene
atmosphere conducive for education. Nagpur is fast developing as Education, Industry and logistics hub of India.
kamptee is home to Army Cantonment established in 1821 by British on the bank of kanhan river. The campus is
about 18 km from Nagpur city/airport and is very close to NH 7 (Nagpur – Jabalpur). The nearest bus/railway station is
kamptee which is around 2 km away from the college. Frequent bus service is available from Nagpur city. The
college is located close to Dragon Palace which is a famous tourist destination in Nagpur. With other academic
institutes such as Porwal College of Science, Commerce and Arts, College of Pharmacy and kamptee Polytechnic
close by, the locality is becoming an academic destination of repute. ITM Business School and ITM Institute of
Health Sciences are also located in the same campus. Sports facilities and canteen are provided within the campus.

A D M I S S I O N P R O C E D U R E - FIRST YEAR
Intake of students at ITM College of engineering, nagpur is divided into three categories as follows:
l students admitted through Centralized admission Process (CaP) of Government of Maharashtra
l students admitted through Management quota at Institute level
l students admitted through Minority quota at Institute Level
ElIGIBIlITY
Minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the First Year of engineering:
A candidate who has passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher
Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and
secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks
out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra) in the Subjects Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics added together.
OR
A candidate who has passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to Board of Technical Education,
Maharashtra State (MSBTE) or its equivalent approved by AICTE
OR
A candidate who has passed the B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC.
additional eligibility criteria for different category seats is as follows:
CAP:
CAP seats are further divided into two sub categories viz. MHT-CET seats and AIEEE seats.
MHT-CET Seats:
Candidates are required to appear for MHT-CET 2011 and secure nonzero score to be eligible for admission for State
Quota seats through Central Admission Process (CAP). 85% of the CAP seats are for MHT-CET candidates.

AIEEE Seats:
Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as outside Maharashtra State are required to appear & qualify in All Indian
Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2011) conducted by C.B.S.E., New Delhi to be eligible for admission against
the 15% reserved seats within CAP for AIEEE score holders.
For details about CAP please refer Government of Maharashtra (DTE) website: www.dte.org.in For admission under CAP,
students have to apply online in response to the Government Notification. The students who are allotted our college will
be given admission as per the procedure given below.
Management Quota:
The students who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria are eligible for admission under minority quota. However they have
to make an application directly to the institute. Admissions will be as per merit.
Minority Quota:
Wardhaman Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha is a linguistic minority (Hindi) institute. Students seeking admission through minority
quota should be from linguistic minority (Hindi) group. However they have to make an application directly to the institute.

The fees structure of the college will be as per the approval by the Shikshan Shulk Samiti. Any increase on that part will

Students seeking admissions through CAP should have been allotted seat by Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra
State, Mumbai for admission to the First Year (F.E.) of Engineering Degree Course in “ITM College of Engineering,
Nagpur” for the academic year 2011-12. These students should follow the Admission Procedure as mentioned below:
1. Purchase Admission kit by paying cost of Rs.350/- .
2. Fill the Admission Application Form completely & submit to the Admission Counseling Centre,

5. Tuition Fees: The fees structure of the college will be as per the approval by the relevant authority
6. Mode of payment: By Demand Draft in the name of “ITM College of Engineering, Nagpur”
7. Reporting of admission to D.T.E.: Candidate is required to provide his/her Application ID and Password generated by
him/her at the time of filling the Government online application form.
8. Collect the fee challan (student’s copy) after online reporting of admission to D.T.E.
Important Note:
The Backward Class candidate admitted against Reserve Category must fill & submit the Government Freeship/
Scholarship form within 8 (eight) days from the date of admission.

Applications are invited for admission in BE First Year in prescribed form from the candidates for Management Quota and
Minority Quota seats to be filled at Institute level for academic year 2011-12. Admission kit inclusive of Application Form
and Prospectus is available for Rs. 350/- at Admission Counseling Centres at ITM College of Engineering, Nagpur, City
Office, Nagpur and Navi Mumbai.
SCHEDUlE OF ADMISSION PROCESS FOR INSTITUTIONAl & MINORITY SEATS

2. last date of submission of duly filled Admission Application Form along with attested copies of all required documents

3. Display of Provisional College Merit list (PCMl):- 06/07/2011
4. Grievances/objections if any pertaining to PCMl:- 07/07/2011 up to 12 noon
5. Display of Final College Merit list (FCMl):- 08/07/2011 at 11.00 am

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
DIRECT SECOND YEAR THROUGH lATERAl ENTRY
Intake of students at ITM College of engineering, nagpur for direct second year admission is divided
into two categories as follows:
1. Students admitted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) of Government of Maharashtra
2. Students admitted through Minority quota at Institute level
ElIGIBIlITY
Minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the second Year of engineering:
l Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates
belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
l Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of
candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics /
Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program with the second year subjects.
additional eligibility criteria for Minority seats:-
Wardhaman Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha is a linguistic minority (Hindi) institute. Students seeking admission through minority
quota should be from linguistic minority (Hindi) group. However they have to make an application directly to the institute.
Admissions will be as per merit.
FEE STRUCTURE
The fees structure of the college will be as per the approval by the Shikshan Shulk Samiti. Any increase on that part will
be binding on the students as per the rules of Shikshan Shulk Samiti.

Students seeking admissions through CAP should have been allotted seat by Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra
State, Mumbai for admission to the Direct Second Year of Engineering Degree Course in “ITM College of Engineering,
Nagpur” for the academic year 2011-12. These students should follow the Admission Protocol as mentioned above for
the first year admission.
INSTITUTE lEVEl MINORITY SEATS
Applications are invited for admission to Direct Second Year in Engineering in prescribed form from the eligible candidates
for Minority Quota seats to be filled at Institute level for academic year 2011-12. Admission kit inclusive of Application
Form and Prospectus is available for Rs. 350/- at Admission Counseling Centres at ITM College of Engineering, Nagpur,
City Office, Nagpur and Navi Mumbai. last date of submission of duly filled Admission Application Form along with
attested copies of all required documents & Demand Draft/ Receipt issued at admission counseling centre of Rs. 350/- is
ten days from the declaration of final year Diploma result up to 4.00 pm. Other schedule and admission protocol is similar
to first year admission for institute level seats.

Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 and its amendments which may be published from time to time.
