                                           Girls Football Tournament

On Monday evening of this week the girls’ squad travelled to Mellow Lane School to com-

pete in the UDPSSA 7-a-side tournament. This was a re-arranged date as previously it had
been called off due to adverse weather. Consequently there were not as many teams in the
tournament as there should have been, and one school didn’t turn up, meaning there was
only ourselves and St Helens in the one group!

The girls started brightly against a well organised St Helens team, but unfortunately fell be-
hind to an early goal. Despite getting ‘stuck in’ and matching St Helens for determination,
St Helens had that little bit extra quality where it counted most and the girls were beaten
quite comfortably. We hastily organised a re-match and our girls performed much better in the second
game. They passed the ball well and began to adapt to their positions. Unfortunately we lost the game 2-0,
but the girls can be very proud of their performance and the way they conducted themselves throughout.
                                                                 Mr Bate.

Squad: Sofia Mark Asafo-Agyei, Daniella Clarke, Ellie Masdin, Lily Howard, Eve Lindsey, Megan Walsh,
Emily Lewis, Rebecca Ter-Meulen & Jasleen Chaggar.

            Beaulieu Year 4 Residential 2010
We are beginning to finalise the numbers and the groupings for the two trips to Beaulieu.
Could you please try to pay the full amount by the 3rd of March.

Year 6 PGL Residential June 2011 (nb: Year 5 parents)
We would encourage you to pay the £40 deposit for the trip as soon as you can. Although the
due date is the 15th June 2010 for the deposit, it does help the school plan the numbers and
staffing for the trip. It also is an incentive to start saving now.!
If you are a Year 5 parent and did not receive a PGL letter at parents’ evening please contact the
            front office.
