UN.GIFT Small Grants Facility - Upcoming Call for Proposals
In order to support CSOs in their counter-trafficking activities, the United Nations Global
Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT) has established a Small Grants Facility.
Through a Call for Proposals, a total amount of between USD 30,000 and USD 50,000
for each selected project will be selected.

Mothers to Mothers Program Funding
“Through its Mothers to Mothers Program, World Connect works directly with
Community Leaders who identify solutions to challenges affecting the health and well-
being of women and children in their communities. Community Leaders can submit
grant applications. World Connect reviews, approves and funds projects several times a
year with grant awards up to $2,500 for Mothers to Mothers projects.

The World of Children Annual Awards ($ 25,000 to 50,000 Cash Grants)
The World of Children Annual Awards Program is a global recognition and funding
program that “exclusively focuses on a broad range of children’s issues such as health
including hunger and nutrition, education, safety and human rights” It works to improve
the lives of children worldwide by identifying and providing recognition to those
extraordinary individuals who work at the ground-level on behalf of children in need.

The Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize for NGOs and Charities all over the
World
The Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is the world’s largest humanitarian award
established by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in 1996. It carries an award of $1.5
million annually and it is considered to be “one of the largest monetary prizes in any
category – equal to the Nobel Prize.

The World Food Prize.
An individual or a group of individuals who have “demonstrated exceptional achievement
in any field involved in enhancing food production and distribution and increasing food
availability and accessibility to those most in need” can be nominated for World Food
Prize. The Prize carries an award of $250,000

UN-HABITAT Youth Funding
NGOs and community-based nonprofit organizations led by young people aged 15-32
years in developing countries can apply for this Fund. Small projects can request up to
$5000 while larger projects can receive grants of up to $25,000. The last date to submit
applications is 15 April 2010.

The African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD)
Fellowships 2010
The African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) Fellowships
2010 is seeking applications from “African women working in agricultural research and
development from Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda,
Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia who have completed a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral
degree in selected disciplines are invited to apply.”
Some 60-70 African women professionals in agricultural research and development who
hold a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree will be chosen. The deadline for all
applications is March 22, 2010.

BBC World Challenge 2010 Grants for Grass-root Level Projects
BBC and Shell have launched the World Challenge 2010 competition to identify and
award “projects or small businesses from around the world that have shown enterprise
and innovation at a grassroots-level.” The winner of the challenge will receive a grant of
US $20,000 and the second and their finalist will receive a grant of US $10,000. The
deadline to submit nominations is 13 June 2010.

King Bauduin Foundation Grants for African Civil Society Networks
This Fund contributes towards the realization of the Millennium Development Goals
(MDG) in Africa and supports initiatives targeted at young people in areas of education,
water and health.
The maximum amount of support to be given to a network under the Fund is €30,000

Rita Fund Offers Grants to Women's Rights Groups
The Rita Fund strives to respond to the funding gap for women's rights by creating a
reliable, non-restrictive funding source for women's funds operating worldwide. Through
long-term support, the leveraging of additional resources, and a staff devoted to finding
creative and innovative solutions to the question of how to sustain women's activists,
the Rita Fund seeks to strengthen women's rights activism globally. The Rita Fund is
now accepting applications for its first grant-cycle. Deadline: March 31st.

Applications open for Health Innovation Challenge Fund's timely new theme
Applications are open for the latest theme of the Health Innovation Challenge Fund
(HICF), targeting time-critical interventions.
The HICF is targeting opportunities that can deliver a healthcare outcome within a
timescale of around three to five years from the date of the funding decision. The
