OpenVista® : Preparation for Remote Deployment
Workstation
You will need a static IP. You probably already have this given to you for your office by your Internet Service Provider. Please ensure that both the Workstation and Server are connected to your network. Please enable Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on your Workstation that you wish to have the OpenVista CIS installed. Please send us the IP address and login credentials to the Workstation. We will connect from here and install OpenVista CIS on the workstation.
Server
We will schedule a time to walk you (some one at your office) through installing Cent OS on the Server machine. We will instruct you how to enable RPC protocol on the Server so that we can access it remotely. Once the Cent OS is installed and remote access is enabled we will be able to connect remotely to the server. We will then install and configure OpenVista server on the server machine. You will then be ready to work with the OpenVista product. Please download Cent OS and write it to a CD for installation on the Server Cent OS-5.3 Download Procedure: 1. Open the site "http://mirrors.hns.net.in/centos/5.3/isos/i386" 2. Click on the link "CentOS-5.3-i386-bin-DVD.torrent" and save it to a location. 3. Download and install Bittorrent-6.2 from the site "http://www.bittorrent.com/". 4. Open Bittorrent application. 5. Go to File menu and select "Add Torrent". 6. Select the downloaded torrent file "CentOS-5.3-i386-bin-DVD.torrent" and click Open. 7. Now it will direct you to download the files. Click OK. 8. It will download the .iso file. 9. After downloading burn this .iso file using burning software(DVD writer is needed for this). This will create CentOS-5.3 DVD. CUSTOMIZATION AND DEPLOYMENT OpenVista can be deployed for small practices or for large hospitals or hospitals with multi-site clinics. As required OpenVista will be web-enabled to provide web access. Other features and customizations specific to your medical practice will be added. NewCreationIT will work with you to develop an OpenVista implementation Roadmap, customize, enhance, deploy and support OpenVista for your organization. 1, Please contact NewCreationIT for a web-demo or for a remote deployment of OpenVista for you to test-drive the product. Remote deployment and configuration of OpenVista for a single workstation-server installation is provided at a small fee of US$ 350/-. 2, Thereafter, please request for NewCreationIT’s free implementation plan, roadmap and costing for OpenVista implementation at your site(s). 3, Once approved, NewCreationIT will proceed with the implementation and deployment of a customized version of OpenVista. 4, NewCreationIT will remain available for user training, and ongoing support, as required, after the implementation.
