Habitat management. Typical responsibilities: develops and recommends work plans for wildlife management area; recommends and monitors area budget; evaluates farming needs and determines habitat plantings; monitors wildlife habitat farming agreements and grazing leases; develops water sources and regulates water levels for waterfowl habitat and grazing; recommends land acquisition; coordinates land management programs with other agencies and department programs; patrols area to inspect projects, identify problems, and enforce fish and game laws; participates in wildlife management activities; may supervise, train, and evaluate personnel. 2. Development and maintenance.
