WEB DEVELOPER CLASS PURPOSE To provide leadership in the design, development, implementation and support of Web operations on an agency-wide level; perform related work. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This level is the fully functioning level capable of performing all the duties described below and those expected of a Web Design Specialist and some functions of a Web Master. Incumbents are capable of working independently and without the need for assistance from professional information technology positions. They may have project leadership responsibilities for multi-faceted integrated database and web applications. An agency utilizing a position at this level would probably have its own server.
