					TV OPERATIONS MANAGER CLASS PURPOSE To supervise traffic and operational staff; manage/coordinate all content delivery and on-air operations for Television; oversee all facility scheduling relating to broadcasting; perform related work. GENERAL INFORMATION The emphasis of this position is on leadership and the supervision of full-time and part time traffic and operational staff operating an around-the-clock broadcast, cable cast and data delivery operation with the related supporting functions. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Department supervision. Typical responsibilities: selects, trains, directs, and controls traffic and operational staff; assigns work and evaluates performance; monitors staff performance to ensure all FCC and station rules and policies are followed; develops traffic and operations policies and procedures; coordinates all station’s facilities usage for operations and production, to include web, data-casting, and teleconferencing activities; develops and maintains user rapport; participates in developing staffing plans and procedures for operational policies. 2. Operations. Typical responsibilities: advises users in data recovery operations; oversees operations of peripheral equipment; supervises selection and scheduling of interstitial material, coordinates and manages insertion of PSIP.
