TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS COORDINATOR CLASS PURPOSE To plan, evaluate, and coordinate development and implementation of database management and information systems; perform related work. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Management systems. Typical responsibilities: develops, updates, maintains, and monitors systems to provide information related to maintenance, construction, equipment, materials, traffic, bridge, project development, right-of-way, and/or contract administration; monitors system data to verify accuracy of input; develops and maintains user manuals to assure proper input and utilization procedures; prepares and recommends activity descriptions and quality and quantity standards for statewide uniformity in use of manpower, equipment, and materials; establishes and coordinates task forces to develop and implement activity descriptions of work and productivity standards; supervises staff. 2. Analysis and reporting. Typical responsibilities: utilizes programming and statistical software to compile data and information from various systems; designs and initiates management reports by interpreting management needs, analyzing and arranging data, and presenting results in statistical and writt
