					PROGRAM INFORMATION COORDINATOR CLASS PURPOSE To manage, implement, and maintain automated records systems; act as resident expert for a technical agency program; perform liaison duties with internal and external customers; perform related work. NATURE AND SCOPE Incumbents serve as the quality control point for program related databases. These positions are responsible for the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures. They design manual and computer filing systems and are responsible for ensuring the uniformity of data. This frequently requires the incumbent to work with Information Technology personnel to develop the computer programs to collect data. Incumbents maintain close contact with other department and agencies to correct and update the database and advise users on how to obtain or submit information or documents. Their actions often affect databases and program procedures of other units, departments, and/or agencies. They serve as the help-desk for system related inquires or problems.
