PHOTOGRAPHER CLASS PURPOSE To take and process photographs and slides for use in promotional, instructional, and informative projects; perform related work. GENERAL INFORMATION An employee in this class works in all types of weather conditions and varied hours; work involves lifting and carrying cameras and auxiliary equipment weighing up to 100 pounds; climbing and transporting equipment up to three stories using scaffolds, platforms and ladders. An employee works around toxic film processing chemicals and fumes. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Photography. Typical responsibilities: consults with university staff to determine needs and scope of photography projects; creates concepts to meet project requirements; establishes production schedules; selects, assembles and sets-up cameras and auxiliary equipment; operates and manipulates via hardware and software photographic work using digital scanning devices, digital printers as well as other digital input/output devices; determines lens needed to photograph pictures used for slide presentations; selects appropriate slides;
