									LIBRARY CIRCULATION MANAGER CLASS PURPOSE To plan, organize, direct, and coordinate centralized circulation operations for a large library; perform related work. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Management. Typical responsibilities: develops and evaluates work flow patterns and establishes operating standards and guidelines; projects staffing needs; plans and delegates work; interviews, hires, assigns and evaluates staff; resolves personnel problems; plans and conducts staff training and meetings; prepares, maintains, and updates training manuals; develops policies and recommends changes; interprets and applies policies and procedures; prepares projections and provides input for budget development; monitors expenditures; coordinates purchasing of supplies; reconciles receipts and prepares deposit; supervises maintenance of accounts related to billing and collection of fines; analyzes delinquent accounts to determine appropriate measure to adjust or clear accounts; researches problems and implements corrective action; prepares reports. 2. Reader service.
