Second Bachelor’s Degree Program: Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders with a Concentration in Speech-Language Sciences (BS-SLS) NOTE: The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee currently offers all the undergraduate SPA courses needed for the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences Disorders, and it intends to offer the degree starting in 2012, pending approval of the program by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association. Degree Program Overview The B.S. in Speech-Language Sciences degree consists of twelve, upper-level major courses within Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). The BS-SLS provides a depth of knowledge for those intending to pursue the field of Speech Language Pathology. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to apply for graduate programs in Speech Language Pathology. They may also be eligible to apply for employment in Florida public school districts. If you are planning to apply to a graduate program, it is suggested you check the admission requirements of the school you intend to apply to prior to enrolling in this program. The program will be offered as a cohort with two options. Students can choose the full-time option (four courses per term) or part-time option (two courses per term). Cohorts will begin only in the summer term.
