STRESS

What is Stress?

Stress is simply the mind and body’s reactions to everyday demands.
It is called a psychosomatic illness.

What causes Stress?

Situations involving anxiety, frustration or tension will trigger a stress response.

STRESS-FACT Along with cardiovascular problems, stress can also cause • Fatigue • Respiratory & muscular problems • Skin problems • Sexual problems • Eating disorders • Chemical dependence.

I. STRESS-MATH One of seven Americans has a heart attack or disabling heart disease before the age of 60.

STRESS-FACT Stress releases fatty acids and glucose into the bloodstream. These become natural fat and cholesterol which is deposited on arterial walls.
