MBA Essay Note: Erasmus program information at http://www.eur.nl/fsw/esm/onderwijs/phd/ Introduction With the advent of so many degree-only MBA programs it seems that MBA preparation is becoming very nearly ubiquitous in the corporate realm. Rather than dilute the value of programs such as that available through UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School, however, it is likely that the continued growth of individual, online programs will enhance the value of the more traditional and involved degree gained from more demanding programs such as UNC's. This would seem to be of even greater value in seeking my own preferred career path. The leading goal on this path is to be involved in business development for an international clean technology company or the international clean technology arm of an established multinational enterprise. Measuring Return Certainly there is likely to be a monetary return on the time and money invested in gaining a Kenan-Flagler MBA, but my relatively short banking and venture capital background already has provided significant monetary rewards. An MBA degree can be useful in advancing in my present situation, but I have a proven track record that can overcome my current lack of the degree.
