R-6/PNW SUPPLEMENT 1900-90-1
CHAPTER 1950 - ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND PROCEDURES
1950.4 - Responsibility
1950.42 - Regional Foresters, Station Directors, and Area Director
1950.42a - Forest Supervisors. Forest Supervisors are delegated the responsibility
for carrying out the environmental analysis and documentation for all actions for
which they have been delegated the authority to implement (FSM 1230). They are
also responsible for environmental analyses, including scoping and documentation,
for all proposals involving their Unit, whether or not they are delegated the
authority for the decision.
Where the Regional Forester retains the decision authority, the environmental
analysis will be coordinated with the Regional Environmental Coordinator and with
the Regional Office Unit primarily responsible for the affected program (for
example, timber, watershed, and so forth). The process for coordination and review
is detailed in FSH 1909.15, Chapter 40.5.
