The Notary Public is not a legal representative of, or for the borrower(s), purchaser(s), seller(s), signer(s) of the lender or title company and therefore cannot and will not render any legal advice or give any opinion of the loan or its terms during the course of the l oan signing. The Notary Public has no knowledge of, and is not responsible for the funding or closing of the loan or signing of your documents. The Notary Public has no knowledge of tax matters. Any questions about the tax implications of the transaction need to be addressed by the borrower's, signer’s tax advisor. The Notary Public is not a loan closing agent, settlement agent, loan officer, escrow officer, title officer, or the like, for this lender, or any company. The role of the Notary Public is to facilitate the signing of your documents, witness your signature(s), perform any necessary notarizations, and return the loan documents to either the lender, signing /or title company. (if applicable) If any questions arise during the signing of your loan papers, please contact your lender immediately. Personal and/or professional opinions about this loan or transaction will not be given. The Notary Public is bound by the laws of the State of New Jersey to serve the citizens of the State of New Jersey and to remain impartial to any transaction. The Notary Public will neither encourage, nor discourage any person from signing any document, nor will the Notary Public give any person any advice, declaration, opinion or direction regarding any document. If you choose, you may retain an attorney (at your expense) to handle the signing of your loan, document(s), purchase or sale papers or to advise you about the transaction. The Notary Public cannot and will not give any legal or personal advice during this transaction. You agree to hold the Notary Public harmless during and after the loan signing process, or document signing in any manner, including, but not limited to any delays in loan funding and/or escrow closing. Upon the beginning or completion of the signing of your documents, you will be required to sign the Notary Public's journal of notarial events as well as place a right thumbprint in the Notary Public's journal. The Journal of Notarial Events serves as a permanent record of the signing and notarization of your documents.
