Start of a New School Year
                                             e u y a’s r.
Lord Jesus, you are with us as we commenc o r e r wo k
Help us to understand the importance of educating the children in our school.
Bless all of our children and their parents.
Guide us in our decisions
and open our hearts in friendship to each other.
May we show particular care to those in most need.
May we welcome, especially, those who are shy and uncomfortable.
And may this meeting of ours result in many benefits for the children on whose behalf we
gather. Amen.
Beatitudes for Teachers
Blessed are you to take the time to listen for you to help me
To know that if I persevere, I can be understood.
 ls e r o            o e e bd        o h ry p o tk
Be s da ey uwh n v r i met ‘u r u ’ r a emyts sa dd te frme   ak n o h m o
For often I need time rather then help.
Blessed are you who stand beside me as I enter new and untried ventures,
For my failures will be outweighed by the times I surprise myself and you.
Blessed are you who asked for my help, for my greatest need is to be needed.
Blessed are you who understand that it is difficult for me to put my thoughts into words.
Blessed are you who with a smile encourage me to try once more.
Blessed are you who never remind me that today I asked the same question twice.
Blessed are you who respect me and love me as I am, just as I am, and not as you wish I
were. Amen.

Teach us Good
Teach us good Lord to serve You as You deserve,
to give and not to count the cost.
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To work and not to seek rest,
To labour and not to ask for any reward
Save that of doing your will O God. Amen.

New Year
Heavenly Father, as we begin this new year, we are walking into the unknown.
As a staff we face the future not knowing what these days, weeks and months
Will expect for us.
Be with us as we journey.
Be present in our lives so that Your light will shine through to all those we
deal with.
Fill us with hope and trust your abiding love.
Deepen our faith to see all of life through Your eyes.
Fill us with the trusting assurance that You are with us in joy and in sorrow.
Thank you for the enduring gift of Catholic education.
Walk with us Loving Creator through this New Year.
We make this plea through Jesus Christ your Son. Amen.

Loving God,
Make the doors of

all who need human love and fellowship;
narrow enough to shut out all envy, pride and strife.
Make it a threshold smooth enough to be no stumbling block for learners,
nor to straying feet,
but rugged and strong enough to turn

God, make the door of our school (name of school) _______________________

Prayer of St. Francis Assisi
Lord make me an instrument of Your peace,
Where there us hatred,
let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon,
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is giving that we receive-
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are
born to eternal life. Amen.

Jesus Gift of Love
In his gentleness and weakness
Jesus calls us to take the path of service and humility.
This does not mean that we deny our gifts,
our abilities, our responsibilities.
He reveals that we are called
to receive a new power from God.
The gift of the Spirit,
not for our own glory
but for the glory of God, the work of God.
This power will allow us to do the impossible:
to live in communion
with the poor and the broken,
to be brothers and sisters to all people,
to respect and appreciate
those who are strange and different,
to love our enemies,
to be creative builders of a totally new order:
The Kingdom of Love,
To be a sign in our broken world
Of the unity and love of the Blessed Trinity. Amen.
Looking for the Light of Your World
God of wonder, our hearts
are looking for the warmth
of Your love, and our minds are looking for the
light of Your World.
Wake us up to the new morning that is waiting
for us. Increase our longing for Christ our
Saviour, and give us the strength to grow in
Love. That the dawn of His coming will find us
Rejoicing in His presences and welcoming the light of His truth. Amen.

Lighting of A Candle
O God,

Lord, as we gather here this evening
We recall your promise to be present
When two or three are gathered in your name.

and within each one of us,
we will labour in vain.

We rejoice that we are blessed and called together
to work in your name.
We pray that we will respond generously
to this opportunity to serve you in others
and that we will grow in our Christian calling.

Inspire us with your Spirit of wisdom;
plant seeds of your vision in our hearts and minds;
give us humor and give us humility
through our work with each another,
in the coming about your Kingdom.
All: Unite us, Lord, in your Spirit.

We ask that working together
will increase the communion among us
as members of your Body on earth.
May the communion we experience
give us new courage in all that we do for you.

to respect each other, top listen to each other,
to be honest with each other,
to be supportive of each other,
for the sake of your Kingdom.

Pardonne-nous nos offences,
Comme nous pardonnons aussi à ceux qui nous ont offenses
Et ne nous soumets pas à la tentation,
Mais deliver-nous du mal. Amen.
Remembrance Day Prayer
God our Father, your Son Jesus gave up His life to free us from the power of sin and death.
  e h we s h t h r ae to e s n iig p n ’ i o oh r.
H s o du ta teg e ts lv i i gvn u o eslefr te s              f
Today we remember those who fought and died for our freedom. We ask you to less and
console them together with their families.
Help us to understand the sacrifices they made in leaving their loved ones to face the
horrors of war. May we never forget their generosity.
May your Holy Spirit give us the courage to resist evil in all its forms and show us how to be
peacemakers through prayer and action, lest we forget those who fought, suffered and died
that we might have the freedom and peace we enjoy today.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The Morning Offering
O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions
of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular
for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.
