The figures and dolls are another items that maintain their value, if you have some from the good old 1980's, and they are still in their factory sealed boxes pure gold. The old LP's (vinyls), from the original Thriller and Bad albums also hold their value nicely. What interesting about the Michael Jackson records, especially the Thriller album, is that this came out right around the time the CD age was starting up, and it makes vintage albums a "must have item" for any one (especially avid collectors) trying to obtain having the rights of saying they truly have Michael Jackson the ultimate collection to add to their display. There should not be a doubt in the world, that new merchandising and marketing ploys of "the King of Pop" is going to be a volcanic eruption for at least the next year or maybe even longer. We've already established that most of this stuff isn't very valuable, "but there are a few gems hidden in there" sentimentally or monetarily, to a collector though it's a pure treasure. Right now I bet the masses are going berserk searching for long lost items in their attics and basements (crawl spaces) just to find some Michael Jackson items that they may have stashed away years ago just to make a few bucks now. That's the real mcoy and I would venture to say there's a lot of it out there some where right now for people who want it, whether it;s for sentimental reasons or some serious collector looking for rare, vintage Michael Jackson stuff from the glory days gone by.
