NOTE: Nonionic surfactant - iodine complex (irritant, providing a minimum of 1.0 % titratable iodine) 3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION Primary Routes of Entry: Skin contact, eye contact Routes of Entry/Affects of Exposure Inhalation: Dusts or mists can cause irritation of the upper respiratory tract. Skin: Can cause skin irritation. Eyes: Can cause eye irritation. Ingestion: Moderately toxic. May cause gastic irritation, nausea, burning and staining of the mucus membranes, and localized necrosis. Chronic Effects of Exposure: May cause areas of dermatitis. Carcinogenicity: The components in this product are not listed in the IARC, NTP, OSHA, or PA lists of carcinogens. CA Proposition 65: Components of this product may contain traces of ACETALDEHYDE, DIOXANE, ETHYLENE OXIDE, and FORMALDEHYDE, which the state of California has found to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: May aggravate existing skin, eye, or respiratory conditions. First Aid Measures Oral Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Drink plenty of water or milk. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get immediate medical attention. Special Note: NOTE FOR PHYSICIAN: For ingestion cases, gastric lavage with a soluble starch or protein solution will remove iodine from stomach. Further treatment may consist of correcting fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Skin Contact: Flush with water. Remove contaminated clothing and footwear. If irritation occurs or persists, get medical attention. Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of clean, running water. If irritaton occurs, get medical attention. 8. Wearing recommended protective equipment, remove bulk of liquid. Add dry material to absorb remaining liquid; pick up and containerize spilled material for recover or disposal. Flush spill area with water to eliminate residues. Waste disposal method: This product does not meet the EPA criteria of a hazardous waste as specified in 40 CFR 261. Dispose of product in an approved landfill in accordance with state and local regulations. Dispose of in a licensed hazardous waste disposal facility in compliance with all applicable laws. 10.
