About Boots for Our Troops:

In early 2008, three Vietnam Veterans and Tempe residents were recounting their
stories of how they returned home from their war. Unfortunately, none had any
positive memories of their return home to a country that was in turmoil and many of
its citizens made no distinction between the war and the warrior. They decided to do
something positive and worked through a concept that has transformed itself into a
mission oriented fundraiser known as “Boots for Our Troops”.

“It was imperative to our success to make it convenient for people to support our
troops”, said Rich Bank, a founding member of Boots for Our Troops.
By Veterans Day, 2008, a small band of volunteers had raised $25,000.00 from retail
outlets across several Arizona cities and towns and then disbursed virtually all of the
money to qualified 501(c)3 service organizations around the State which supports
Arizona’s Veterans, military personnel, and their families. For more information go
