                                                       Maintenance Foreman

This vacancy exists within the Operations Department at the Germiston Plant. The successful incumbent
will report to the Engineering Manager and amongst others, responsibilities will include:

Key Result Areas:
    Ensure high plant availability, reliability through effective preventative maintenance.
    Maintenance of the building and ensure that all statutory maintenance are done according to the
      schedule and to the required standards.
    Management of the Engineering store.
    Maintain a high standard of housekeeping including adherence to pollution and environmental
      policies.
    Ensure that quality is maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 and the
      company policy
    Ensure that the OHSAS 18000 Policy is maintained and all OHSAS 18000 documentation is kept
      up to date.
    Be part of and play an active role on WCM.
    Meet the requirements of the system to ensure environmental performances in department are up
      to.
    Ensure contractors & suppliers identify records and report all indirect environmental incidents /
      accidents.
    Environmental related documentation: update, file and maintain them.
    Take corrective action / preventative action on matters that can have a negative environmental
      impact.
    Enforce adherence to safety standards for Engineering personnel, contractors and Production.
    Encourage team work in engineering department and keep them motivated.
    Manage artisans/ contracts to ensure projects are implemented safely as per plan and to the
      required standard.
    Endeavor at all times to develop a culture of correct working procedures and safety.


Qualifications:
    A minimum of Matric or equivalent level of educational
    Must be a qualified Artisan / Technician

Experience:
    A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
    Experience in a similar position will be advantageous.

    Personal Attributes and Skills
     Good communication and interpersonal skills
     Proven ability to work as a team leader and player
     Computer literate, with a knowledge of Microsoft Products.
     SAP knowledge will be an added advantage
     Ability to work in a pressurized environment
