					                                Ribbed Slotted Scarf Knitting Pattern

   • 1 - 2 x 50g balls Unusual Yarns Chunky
       Weight yarn
   • 6mm Knitting needles (or size needle to
       obtain suggested tension)
   • Stitch holders

Finished Dimensions
4” wide (unstretched) x 28-32” length

Pattern stitches
2x2 Rib: K2, P2 across row
1x1 Rib: K1, P1 across row

Tension: 20 stitches to 4” in 2x2 rib (unstretched)

Cast on 20 stitches. Work in 2x2 Rib for 5 inches.
Slip alternate stitches on stitch holder (10 stitches remain on needles)
Working only on 10 stitches on needle, work in 1x1 rib for 2.5 inches. Slip stitches onto another holder
and break yarn.
Rejoin yarn to stitches on first holder, and work 1x1 rib for 2.5 inches.
Slip stitches from stitch holder back onto needle so that stitches are now back in their original order
(i.e. slip one stitch from stitch holder, one stitch from needle across row until you have all 20 stitches
back on needle.)
Work in 2x2 Rib to desired length (28-32”), and cast off in 2x2 Rib.
Weave in all ends.
